Suspect Yuta Kobayashi (34), homeless and unemployed, struck a female convenience store clerk who confronted him about illegal parking, causing skull fracture and brain contusion injuries. He subsequently collided with a fence and parked vehicles in a residential area before fleeing. His damaged vehicle had been spotted multiple times. Kobayashi turned himself in on the 4th and admitted to fleeing without reporting the accident. Police are investigating details including a possible driver change during the escape.
