This page announces the 7th meeting of the Study Group on Sustainable Maintenance Management of Port Facilities, to be held on March 4, 2026. The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism is examining methods to ensure proper maintenance of port facilities by port administrators despite limited budgets and personnel. The agenda includes discussions on maintenance considerations for extending the service life of port facilities and reviewing case studies of maintenance management plans. The meeting will be held at the Coastal Development Institute of Technology in Tokyo, with online participation available. It is chaired by Professor Hiroshi Yokota from Hokkaido University.
