This page presents the 998th report on radioactive material test results in food products released by the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare on September 13, 2016. Testing by 36 municipalities nationwide found 5 samples exceeding safety standards, including wild boar meat from Iwate Prefecture and wild mushrooms from Yamanashi Prefecture. Emergency monitoring and Fukushima Prefecture tests detected no exceedances. The National Institute of Health Sciences found 2 samples exceeding standards: wild mushroom and dried bracken from Miyagi Prefecture.
