This page is a press release from Japan's Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare dated September 16, 2014, announcing a shipment restriction order issued by the Nuclear Disaster Countermeasures Headquarters to Fukushima Prefecture. The restriction applies to wild carp (excluding farmed carp) caught in the Abukuma River upstream of Shinobu Dam and its tributaries within Fukushima Prefecture. The restriction was based on inspection results showing radioactive contamination of 110 Bq/kg, in accordance with the Act on Special Measures Concerning Nuclear Emergency Preparedness.
