This page reports the Fair Trade Commission's enforcement activities of the Subcontracting Law in fiscal 2019 and efforts to promote fair transactions between enterprises. Seven recommendations were issued for subcontracting law violations, primarily involving unjust price reductions. Guidance was provided in a record 8,016 cases. Remedial measures totaling approximately 2.776 billion yen were implemented for 7,469 subcontractors affected by violations. Notably, 78 parent companies voluntarily reported violations, with restorations of approximately 58.49 million yen. To promote fair subcontracting practices, the Commission conducted training sessions nationwide and issued compliance requests to approximately 200,000 parent companies.
