This page reports the results of the first "Overseas Port and Logistics Project Council" held by Japan's Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism on November 5, 2010. The council was established to promote international competitiveness of Japanese companies in overseas port and logistics projects through public-private collaboration and information sharing. Chaired by Eizo Kobayashi of Itochu Corporation, the council comprises 75 members including 59 private enterprises. The meeting confirmed the council's establishment purpose, reviewed organizational initiatives, and discussed future strategies. Key decisions included establishing an Indonesia working group, conducting seminars, and accepting visiting missions. The next council meeting is scheduled for early fiscal year 2011.
