This page presents the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare's 1085th report on radioactive material inspection results in food, released on May 31, 2018, following the Fukushima nuclear accident. The results are compiled from three sources: local municipalities, Fukushima Prefecture, and the National Institute of Health Sciences. The inspection results show 3 cases exceeding safety standards from municipalities (bamboo shoots and Japanese aralia from Miyagi and Nagano), and 4 cases from Fukushima Prefecture (all bamboo shoots). The national institute found no violations.
