This page presents the 1038th report on radioactive substance test results in food released by the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare on June 19, 2017, following the Fukushima nuclear accident. Testing was conducted by municipalities nationwide. Local government tests from 37 prefectures and cities found no exceedances of safety standards. Emergency monitoring and Fukushima Prefecture tests detected exceedances in bear meat (2 cases) and wild boar meat (2 cases). The National Institute of Health Sciences found one exceedance in Yamagata Prefecture's Japanese angelica tree shoots. A total of 5 cases exceeded safety standards.
