This page presents the 994th report on radioactive substance test results in food published by the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare on August 15, 2016, following the Fukushima nuclear accident. Tests from 32 municipalities nationwide are compiled. Five cases exceeded safety standards: three samples of bear meat from Iwate Prefecture (Cs: 110-130 Bq/kg) and two samples of Japanese black bear meat from Miyagi Prefecture (Cs: 120, 180 Bq/kg). Emergency monitoring and Fukushima Prefecture tests showed no exceedances. Detailed results are available in PDF files.
