This page presents the Fair Labeling Act enforcement status in the Kinki region (2 prefectures and 5 prefectures) for fiscal year 2019, released by the Japan Fair Trade Commission on June 26, 2020. A total of 14 cases were processed: 2 corrective orders and 12 guidance cases. Labeling cases comprised 12 cases (approximately 86%), while premium cases comprised 2 cases (approximately 14%). Among labeling violations, misleading advantages were the most common at 10 cases. The commission received 429 consultation inquiries and conducted public awareness activities regarding the Fair Labeling Act.
