This page reports the National Tax Agency's 2024 fiscal year survey on domestic enterprises. Corporate operating revenue reached 1,822.9 trillion yen, a 3.6% increase from the previous year and marking three consecutive years of record highs. Income also reached 102.06 trillion yen, up 11.2% and setting a fourth consecutive record. Approximately 1.19 million companies were profitable, reaching historic highs, while about 1.8 million companies posted losses, representing 60.3% of the total. The ratio of loss-making companies decreased 0.7 percentage points, continuing a downward trend from the 2009 peak of 72.8%.
