This page reports an incident where a door on JR Central Line's limited express train "Kaiji" opened while running. On March 28, around 2 p.m., the train heading from Kofu to Shinjuku displayed a door-open warning on the driver's monitor near Hatsukari Station in Yamanashi Prefecture. After emergency braking, it was confirmed that the left door was actually open. Approximately 250 passengers and crew members were unharmed. The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism recognized this as a serious incident requiring accident investigation, and the Transportation Safety Board dispatched investigators to determine the cause.
