The treatment involves extracting hepatocytes from cirrhotic patients and converting them into CLiP cells, which can differentiate and proliferate, then transplanting them back into the patient's liver. Using patient's own cells minimizes rejection reactions and enables easier mass cultivation than iPS cells.
