This page announces the end of national management of some port facilities in Ishikawa Prefecture following the 2024 Noto Peninsula earthquake. The national government managed these facilities from January 2 to August 1, 2024, at the request of Ishikawa Prefecture to ensure smooth material transport to affected areas. During this period, inspection of damaged quays, securing access routes, emergency repairs of aprons and harbor roads, and salvage of capsized boats were conducted. Ishikawa Prefecture will now take over management, with the national government providing support through disaster reconstruction projects for full-scale facility restoration.
