This page presents the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare's press release on radioactive substance test results in food (Report No. 1036) dated June 5, 2017. Following the Fukushima nuclear accident, local governments conducted nationwide inspections. Results showed three exceeded safety standards: wild boar meat from Gunma (Cs: 160 Bq/kg), Japanese black bear meat from Gunma (Cs: 140 Bq/kg), and Japanese angelica root from Gunma (Cs: 300 Bq/kg). Emergency monitoring and Fukushima prefecture tests showed no exceedances.
