This page reports on signal setting errors found in multiple train stations operated by JR East, JR Central, and JR Hokkaido. Following the October 2025 collision and derailment accident on the Tokyu Toyama Line caused by signal configuration mistakes, 15 additional stations were identified with similar errors. JR East found 13 cases, while JR Central and JR Hokkaido each found one. These errors originated in the Japanese National Railway era but caused no accidents. Safety measures have been implemented at all affected stations. The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport's emergency inspections identified errors at 32 stations across 12 operators nationwide, with investigations continuing until approximately June.
