This page reports on the results of the 12th Summit of Heads of Medicines Regulatory Agencies held in Kyoto on October 24-25, 2017. Attended by 86 representatives from 29 countries and regions, the summit discussed regulatory approaches for regenerative medicine products and real-world data, agreeing on promoting international regulatory harmonization and opinion exchange. Discussions on antimicrobial resistance and counterfeit medicine measures also resulted in agreements on national efforts and international cooperation. Concurrent meetings including ICMRA sessions, bilateral consultations, and an Asian network meeting yielded various achievements.
